ABELIOPHYLLUM distichum

Description: Elegant slow growing shrub. Fragrant, almond-scented, white flowers tinged with pink in February-March on bare branches. Forsythia is Abeliostychum's vulgar cousin. Abeliophyllum is hardy but needs the protection of a warm wall to safeguard its flowerbuds from the frosts. Any soil. Sun. Ht 2.5 metres. Spread 2.5 metres. Underplant with blue crocuses. Any soil. Cut back spent flowering stems by 70% straight after flowering.

Despatch
We aim to despatch all plants apart from Bearded Iris within 5 working days. Bearded Iris orders are only despatched from the end of July to the end of November.

Pot Sizes
Shrubs and climbers - 2 or 3 litre pots. Herbaceous plants - 1.3 litre or 2 litre pots. Auriculas - 7cm pots, Pelargoniums - 10cm pots. These sizes are only a guide and larger or smaller plants may be sent out from time. Bearded Iris and Hemerocallis are supplied as large bare root divisions.
